Call for Art: Community Book

Bring one piece to the April 14 session

One of our beloved regulars, Leah Fadness, is presenting a solo show at Vermillion May 7 - 30, 2026. Figure It Out has been an important creative home for her, and she’s using this moment to create a book featuring artwork made at past FIO sessions.

If you’ve drawn with us, we’d love for you to be part of it.

Bring one piece you created at Figure It Out to the April 14 session if you’d like it included.

Requirements

  1. Must be something you created at Figure It Out
  2. One piece per person
  3. Include:
    • Name
    • Social handle / contact info
    • ~100 - 200 word statement about yourself and/or the work

Time: Mingle at 6pm. Drawing at 7pm.

Location: Vermillion Art Studio, 1501 11th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122

Cost: $15

People of all skill levels are welcome! Seriously, even if the last thing you drew was a stick figure. This is a supportive, creative environment. Ages 21+.

All proceeds donated to Seattle's LGBTQ+ Center.

  • Draw our amazing live model.
  • Enjoy over 2hrs of drawing with a variety of poses: 2min, 5min, 10min, 15min.
  • Connect with a diverse, queer, & inclusive community of artists.
  • Enjoy a fine selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Bring your drawing materials; a pencil and paper is plenty!
  • Share your creations and be featured on our Instagram.

No photos of our model, but photos of the art are encouraged.
